Cavier range Kerstin Florian
On trial: Editor-at-large Peta Hunt tries The Kerstin Florian Caviar Facial at The Spa at Coworth Park (coworthpark.com)
Why waste expensive fish roe on blinis when you can put it on your face, that’s what I say. So, in pursuit of the perfect complexion, I headed for The Spa at Coworth Park in Berkshire for the decadence that is the Kerstin Florian Caviar Facial. With a similar structure to human cells, my therapist told me, caviar helps regenerate skin and boost collagen, making this a multi-tasking, anti-ageing facial that both hydrates and smooths. Not that I needed the sales pitch – she had me at regenerate and I was more than ready for the 85 minutes of bliss that began with a hand, arm and shoulder massage using myrrh and chamomile.
Next stop heaven…
What followed was a divine succession of deep cleansing, toning with rose mist, exfoliation, acupressure, a marine masque and that all-important Caviar Cell Vitale Ampoule. Unsurprisingly, I didn’t pay too much attention to the ingredients at the time – the blend of aromas, massage and the serene vibe that fills The Spa at Coworth quickly sent me (and my frown lines) floating away.
Is it worth £120?
In a word, yes. I came away feeling genuinely healthier – the way you do after a few days away – plus the lightness of the products meant my skin felt smooth and fresh for days afterwards. The location played a large part in re-charging my batteries too. Luxurious and spacious, it’s an awesome place to take your mum for a spoil-me treat. And yes, you guys at home, that is a hint!
Wedding-worthy rating: 5/5 for the bride to thank her ever-supportive mum! And if you can’t get down to Coworth, you can experience the range at home. From £41 for the Caviar Rose Damascena Mist, or try the Caviar Pure Luxury Gift kit, £95, at kerstinflorian.co.uk
