With just months to go before my wedding, every spare seconds of my days are spent crafting confetti cones and writing invites, so at a time when my beauty regime should be at the top of its game, in reality it’s pretty much non-existent! So when a pretty package landed on my desk from Glossybox I was delighted to unwrap the pink ribbon to find a decadent stash of bridal-perfect beauty products.
Nestled in the romantic rose petals were six bridal beautifiers including the Beauty Bird nail polish, which is the perfect shade of subtle pink to show off your sparkler. I was also taken with Bellapierre Cosmetics’ Volumizing Mascara, which does exactly that – extends your lashes to the perfect flutter-at-your-groom-as-you-walk-down-the-aisle proportions.
The Naobay face product sounded a little harsh to me at first – did I really want to use a peeling product just before my big day? But when I applied it, it was actually a soft cream with a very fine exfoliant which, when paired with the Becca shimmering skin perfecter, left me with the dewy glow every bride covets.
The range of products has been chosen to address all you wedding day needs – nails, lips, skin and eyes – with a handy NYX matte smoky-look eye palette, which I’ll be using to add a bit of drama to my hen do look.
And as for the surprise product – there were some fuchsia pink, bow shoe clips included, which I’ll be saving for the first dance. As a bride-to-be, this box was a welcome respite from my planning panic, and I’d certainly give extra bridal brownie points to any maid who sent it my way. It could work just as well though as a thank you to maids who have enthusiastically spent hours folding origami birds and ‘oohing’ and ‘ahhing’ as you try on your 50th dress!
