We Swatched the new Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette on Three Skin Tones; here’s how it Looked

Urban Decay's Naked Heat Palette has landed and we are in love

It’s undeniable, Urban Decay are king when it comes to eyeshadow palettes; we don’t know anyone who hasn’t tried (and loved) their iconic Naked palettes, so we could not contain our excitement when the latest offering from the brand landed on our desks.

For £29.50 we can’t resist this palette

The Naked Heat palette houses 12 incredible new amber hued neutral shades, including warm browns, burnt oranges and shimmering rose golds that are to die for; trust us, you will love them.

With glimmering copper and a shade-shifting bronze, this baby has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks as well as intense, smouldering evening styles – hello hen party make-up!

There’s no question how fab this palette is, but we wondered, how would it look on different skin tones? We roped in three willing testers, and tried it out on a super pale skin tone, a medium skin tone and a darker skin tone to see which shades came out on top.

This palette really twisted our arms

From left to right the shades are Ounce, an ivory shimmer, Chaser, a slight nude matte, Sauced, a soft terracotta matte, Low Brow, a brown matte, Lumbre, a copper summer with gold pearl shine, He Devil, a burnt red matte, Dirty Talk, a metallic burnt red, Scorched, a metallic deep red with gold micro-hummer, Cayenne, a deep terra cotta matte, En Fuego, a burgundy matte, Ashes, a deep reddish brown and lastly, Ember, a deep metallic copper burgundy.

Despite all having different skin tones, we were unanimous that the shimmering shades like Scorched, Lumbre and Dirty Talk were our favourites.

The pigmentation is amazing; only a tiny bit of product created the most dramatic looks and while we didn’t love the matte shades, it’s obvious that a skilled hand could create some incredible eye shadow looks by blending them.

We also loved how Ounce could double up as a highlighter on darker skinned make-up lovers.

12 amazing shadows in one handy package

If you’re not keen on rocking a bold bridal beauty look, we just know these hues would look incredible on a sun soaked honeymoon.

The palette is available from July 27th, for £39.50. Hurry though, we predict a sell out!
