Fortnum & Mason wedding cakes

New range of wedding cakes from Fortnum & Mason that look far too good to eat (well, almost!)

Fortnum & Mason’s new wedding cake collection

Forks at the ready, brides-to-be. This month luxury London store Fortnum & Mason launch a new selection of handmade wedding and celebration cakes and they are simply stunning.

Each mouth-wateringly delicious design has been intricately styled using inspiration from the 18th century, the decade when the grand store first opened its doors. There are six wow-worthy cakes to chose between, including the oh-so-pretty Blossom Cake with it’s cascade of delicate sugar petals.

The bespoke nature of each cake means that not only can the size and design be tailored to your own personal taste, but the fillings can too. The yummy list of potential flavours range far beyond traditional fruit cake and include delicious delights like orange cake with marmalade and buttercream filling, and banana cake with passionfruit buttercream.

It’ll be a tough decision to pick your favourite but luckily Fortnum & Mason have made it easy. Every bride and groom will be invited along to a private champagne afternoon tea cake tasting (well, there’s no need to start the wedding diet just yet!). The cost of the session is redeemable on purchase of your cake and once your mind is made up and the order is placed, you’ll be presented with a hand-drawn sketch of your chosen cake design.

Take a look at all the gorgeous designs now…

Wedding cakes from Fortnum & Mason start from £500. For more information contact weddingcakes@fortnumandmason.co.uk or call 020 7292 4631.

Cameo Cake

Inspired by Queen Charlotte’s love of silhouettes, Fortnum & Mason can personalise this design with the profiles of you and your man or your initials romantically entwined.

Georgian porcelain cake

Designed in the style of Wedgwood and Jasper china that was popular with the monarchy.

Tea Rose Cake

Influenced by the fine selection of specially blended teas Fortnum & Mason is famous for, the flowers are painstakingly hand-painted directly on to the cake. Wow!

Ruffle Cake

A nod to the frilly garters and petticoats of a bygone era, we love the delicate ruffles and statement sugar flowers on top.

Georgian Lace Cake

The talented patisserie chefs can copy the pattern of the lace on your wedding dress and work it into the detailing on this classically stylish cake.
