Spring styling can be so fresh and beautiful – all you need to look sublime is a gorgeous boho dress, some flowers in your hair and a bunch of daisies as this inspirational shoot shows. “We took a beautiful girl and four dresses into a field, and with a little floral art and the lightest touches of make up, we captured a stunning afternoon,” says photographer Jacqulyn Hamilton. “I wanted to capture the nature of the beautiful location and have been waiting for the perfect field for many years! Luckily, the Lancing College Estates meadows were completely full with Daisies at exactly the right moment.”
To get the laid-back look right it’s all about a less-is-more approach: “Hair and makeup artisit Cara McDaniel used the lightest of touches for this shoot,” says Jacqulyn. “She created Emily’s softness and vintage boho look very simply by ‘enhancing Emily’s beauty’ and not covering it. Her lips are the softest of pinks, also reflected in the roses and peonies and her hair is tousled and organic.”
Floral designer Lydie Dalton created stunning displays of September White daisies, Astilbes, Eryngium Silver, and field grasses for the bouquet. The Flower crown is made from rose amnesia, Eryngium, daisies and lavender.
All four dresses are from the made to measure range from Hope and Harlequin Bride. The designs are reproduced from original vintage patterns.
