We’re not going to lie, one our of favourite parts of a big night out is the getting ready, and a killer playlist can make the process even more fun.
If you’re having a night out for your hen do, these are the tracks you NEED to play while you and your best girls are choosing outfits, sharing eyeshadow palettes and selecting lipsticks.
While you and your groom will probably choose the playlist for your reception together, the music on your hen night is totally down to you, so we’ve selected some of our fave ever girl power anthems just for you and your friends – scroll down for the playlist and why it’s the perfect track for your night.
Scandalous – Misteeq
It’s the ultimate track about getting a little raucous in the club.
Ladies Night – Atomic Kitten
This doesn’t need any explanation… your hen night is the ladies night to end all ladies nights!
Umbrella – Rihanna
The ultimate friendship anthem – when the sun shines, we shine together.
Just Dance – Lady Gaga
We’ve all been there; had a little bit too much, can’t find your keys or phone? We feel you, Gaga.
Don’t Cha – Pussycat Dolls
Soon you can sing “don’t cha wish your wife was hot like me?”
Love Machine – Girls Aloud
We miss Girls Aloud SO much. This track was our secondary school favourite to listen to at sleepovers.
All About Tonight – Pixie Lott
You’re right Pixie, it is all about tonight!
Milkshake – Kelis
Once we’ve got a few drinks down us just try and stop us from belting this out!
Murder on the Dancefloor – Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Way before her star turn on Strictly Come Dancing this is what we knew her for, and over a decade later, this track is still an absolute banger.
Spice up your Life – Spice Girls
No girls night out playlist is complete with a Spice Girls track, and this is one of our faves.
Man! I Feel Like a Woman – Shania Twain
“The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun”

Glamorous – Fergie
We might not quite have Fergie’s lifestyle, but this song makes us feel like we do, and that’s all that matters, right?
Hips don’t Lie – Shakira
Crank this up and pretend you look just like Shakira while you wiggle your hips.
Untouched – The Veronicas
They may have been one hit wonders, but this Veronicas track is still on all of our playlists.
Can’t Hold us Down – Christina Aguilera
Nothing says girl power like an Xtina track with a verse by Lil Kim.
Up – The Saturdays
There are too many Saturdays hits to remember, but Up is the original and still the best.
Power – Little Mix & Stormzy
We LOVE the Little Mix girls, and this song is modern day girl power track; we might even try rapping along to Stormzy’s bit, if we’ve drunk enough prosecco.
That’s My Girl – Fifth Harmony
What a tune! Even the opening notes make us want to pump our fists!
That don’t Impress me Much – Shania Twain
Shania delivers the ultimate shade with this track about big headed men – we will never not love this.
We can’t Stop – Miley Cyrus
Sure, this was released during Miley’s twerking stage, but there’s no denying it’s an absolutely great tune to play while you pre-drink.
Independent Women – Destiny’s Child
We might have been at primary school when this came out, but we totally identified with this empowering track and still love it.
Can’t get you Out of my Head – Kylie Minogue
We can’t resist doing Kylie’s iconic dance when we hear this – you and your besties will be performing it in the mirror, we guarantee.
Tik Tok – Kesha
Kesha’s music was the soundtrack to our university years, and we identify with every line in this track. Of course we’ve woken up in the morning feeling like P-Diddy!
Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield
Not only was this the soundtrack to The Hills, it described exactly how we felt as a teen, and still pulls on our heartstrings now – it’s the perfect track for you and your pals to sing along to.
Shout Out to my Ex – Little Mix
We know, the less said about your ex the better, but as the girls say “look at me now, I’m all the way up, you’ll never bring me down.”
Womanizer – Britney Spears
No playlist is complete without Britney Spears, and this is an absolute classic.
Crazy in Love – Beyonce
The same goes for Beyonce; we’ve lost count of how many times this song has kicked off a night out.
Lady Marmalade – Moulin Rouge
Our girls are the only people we feel comfortable enough to sing this around – we sound awful, but just don’t care.
No Scrubs – TLC
The sassiest song in existence? Quite possibly, and we love it.
Single Ladies – Beyonce
Is it even a hen night if you all haven’t attempted Bey’s dance from the video? 👯

Get the Party Started – Pink
No pre-drinks playlist is complete without this Pink hit.
Girls Just Wanna have Fun – Cyndi Lauper
An oldie but a goodie!
Barbie Girl – Aqua
You’ll need a few drinks in you to fully embrace this bouncy poppy track. But once you get going, there’s no stopping you!
Saturday Night – Whigfield
Don’t pretend you don’t remember the dance routine from school discos…
Call me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen
2012 was ruled by Carly Rae Jepsen and this super poppy track – we still know every single lyric.
Push the Button – Sugababes
We’ll be honest, we don’t know which Sugababes line up created this banger, but we love it all the same.
New Rules – Dua Lipa
This is our favourite song of 2017 so far – we just wish we were as cool as her.
