If you’re looking for a stylish starter to a week-end away in Paris, head down to the new ‘St Pancras Grand Restaurant and Oyster Bar’. Right next to the 95.8M Champagne Bar on the upper concourse of St Pancras station, the venue is a Searcys, so you know it’s going to be a good one. The interior is grand, a warm hommage to the glittering age of Art Deco. The ceilings are gold leafed, the mirrors are tryptics and every detail is thought of.
As your mains, why not get the Eurostar to whisk you away to romantic Paris to stay in trendy boutique hotel and restaurant Hotel Daniel? You don’t need to go far, you’re already at the station!
Of food, ‘St Pancras Grand’ was all I expected and more. The service was excellent, the fizz a treat (check out their new signature cocktail ‘The Grand’ – a mix of fresh grapefruit juice, peach liqueur topped with Prosecco) and the food very tasty indeed. I recommend the steak and mash with a side order of garlic string beans. Desserts looked delicious, but I was already full of good food … I’ll just have to come back next week.
