Drew Barrymore ties the knot

Actress marries Will Kopelman in romantic garden ceremony

Drew and new hubby, Will Kopelman

Drew Barrymore became Mrs Will Kopelman at the weekend after a whirlwind five-month engagement.

The happy couple exchanged their vows in an intimate Jewish ceremony that took place in a lofty white marquee set in the grounds of their lush estate in Montecito, California.

Drew is rumoured to have worn a custom-made Chanel dress but the bride was kept carefully shielded from prying eyes on her way to the ceremony by white parasols and organza drapes. Canny photographers did however manage to capture a tantalizing glimpse of trailing lace and tulle before she started down the aisle.

The occasion is said to have been a simple and elegant affair with pretty garden-inspired touches. Posies of pink blooms could be seen on tall tables topped with crisp white linen. Us Weekly reported the flower arrangements were provided by Gazebo Flowers and included hydrangeas, small irises, cream and pink roses and lavender lilies.

There were famous faces among the family and friends who helped the couple celebrate including Steven Speilberg and Reese Witherspoon. Drew’s Charlie’s Angels co-star Cameron Diaz is believed to have been bridesmaid.

The couple were driven away from the party in a vintage car, which friends had decorated with pink and white ribbons and streamers and they were spotted sharing a loved-up smooch in the back. Sweet!

But the newlyweds won’t have much downtime to settle into married life – Drew is expecting their first child in a matter of months!
