Kim and Kanye’s Florence wedding!

Kim Kardashian's stunning dress at her Italian wedding to Kanye West – and the low-down on their luxury honeymoon in Cork

Kim & Kanye said their vows on an Italian hilltop

The wedding

After weeks of rumour and speculation surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s nuptials, we finally got a glimpse of the beautiful bride as she said ‘I do’ in Florence, Italy on Saturday.

The ceremony was watched by 600 guests, seated in rows overlooking the hilltop view, while a wall of flowers shaded the couple as they said their vows.

Wearing a lace Haute Couture Givenchy gown made by the couple’s friend Riccardo Tisci, 33-year-old reality star Kim exuded demure Italian elegance. However, she still managed to show off her sensational curves, as her dress was a figure-hugging fishtail shape with a stunning see-through back.

And Kanye must have given his thumbs up to his wife’s choice of designer, as he wore a black Givenchy suit – while the bridesmaids, sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie reportedly wore white, evoking Pippa Middleton’s McQueen gown on the royal wedding day.

The honeymoon

If you imagined the Seychelles or Bahamas being at the top of the honeymoon hit list, it seems the couple instead succumbed to Irish charm, as rumour has it Kimye’s private jet touched down in the grounds of the five-star Castlemartyr Resort in Cork.

If they’ve booked the best room in the hotel, the Presidential Suite, they’ll currently be enjoying a separate sitting room, reception and dining area, which is serviced by a special elevator that allows meals to be delivered directly from the kitchen below.

Irish charm: Castlemartyr Resort in Cork

The luxury hotel offers a host of outdoor pursuits, including archery, croquet on the lawn, clay pigeon shooting, or a game of hurling. And if Kimye fancy soaking up a bit of, er, Irish sun, they can also take a stroll around the formal gardens or a romantic walk through Castlemartyr Wood.

If it’s a bit of pampering the newlyweds are after they won’t be disappointed either, as the hotel’s website boasts of “10 individual treatment rooms and a Couples Suite, vitality lounges, heated indoor pool, steam room, sauna and jet pool”.

Although this sounds like it will be right up the high-maintenance duo’s street, you never know, perhaps they’re simply celebrating married life with a few pints of Guinness down the local pub?
