khloe, kim and kourtney kardashian hen night
Most brides-to-be would fall all over themselves for the chance to wear a Vera Wang dress when they say ‘I do’ but just one isn’t enough for reality TV star Kim Kardashian – it’s rumoured she’s splashed out on two stunning gowns to wear when she weds her basketball-player boyfriend Kris Humphries on 20 August.
‘Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years,’ Kim has said. ‘So when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of.’ So jealous! Can we be friends with Vera, too? We’ve already spied Kim popping into the Vera Wang boutique in New York for her final dress fitting looking happy and relaxed with no sign of last-minute stresses; surprising when she’s in the final throes of planning one of the biggest weddings Hollywood has ever seen.
Keen to go bigger and better than our own royal wedding, Kim and Kris Humphries are said to have been inspired by the show-stopping Fiona Cairns cake, so headed to Hansen’s cake shop in LA to create their own. But not content with the towering eight tiers Kate and Wills went for, Kim is said to have asked for a couple of extra layers, chocolate chip icing and black and white decorations as extra. The cake is rumoured to cost a staggering $12,000!
Kim has also revealed that she will be wearing her fabulous new scent on her wedding day, appropriately named Love. She says, ‘My fragrance will be a keepsake I can keep for years, and I am excited to be able to share it with my fans. Her new scent will be limited edition, with only 1000 bottles made: that’s one for Kim, 200 for her W-day guests and 799 for the rest of us! The gorgeous glass bottle is crystal-encrusted and is fit for a princess. Perfect for Queen Kim – after all, she is reality-TV royalty.
Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, will be broadcast in October – set your TVs to record and watch the two-part special for more bridal inspiration. We know we will.
