Kirsty Gallacher and Paul Sampson Get Married
Forget those post-pregnancy-wedding worries, expectant brides-to-be; if Kirsty Gallacher can do it, so can we. The Sky Sports presenter married rugby player boyfriend of nine years, and father of her two sons, Paul Sampson, at San Pedros Cathedral, Arcos de la Frontera, Spain this weekend, just six months after she gave birth to youngest Jude Sidney.
Despite having her wedding dress first fitted by dream designer Suzanne Neville while she was still pregnant, Gallacher looked seamlessly elegant on the big day in her figure-hugging silk satin bridal gown, based on the Maiden design from Neville’s Royal collection.
“…Because I didn’t put on an awful lot of weight when I was expecting, she could see what my figure was like,” Gallacher said of her fitting with Neville in an interview with Hello! magazine. “When I went back in March, she’d put aside a few designs that she thought would be perfect for me and, would you believe it, the first dress she’d put aside was the one I ended up wearing.”
It’s not only the wedding dress we’re rating at this celeb ceremony; the groom gets brownie points too, and not just for his pretty face: “Someone said to me that it feels no different after marriage,” Sampson told Hello!. “But the bond Kirsty and I have is definitely stronger now, which feels amazing after nine years. Slightly unexpected, but a wonderful feeling.” We can’t help grinning into our afternoon cuppa! Now we’ll just set this story as our homepage and leave it for our groom to see…
