Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding will be held on Saturday 19 May 2018, Kensington Palace has announced. Following the pairs engagement only three weeks ago, it seems that wedding planning is well underway and the couple are set to have their service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where Prince Charles had his blessing to the Duchess of Cornwall back in 2005.
The happy couple
The Royal Family are set to cover all costs for the wedding, including the service, music, flowers and reception, with many predicting it will be a much smaller affair than Kate and William’s special day back in 2011. Meghan is set to be christened into the Church of England prior to the wedding, and many are wondering whether there will be elements of her American heritage seen throughout the celebrations.
The wedding clashes with the FA Cup Final, which Prince William normally attends as FA president – although we’re sure he’d rather be partying with Harry!
