Congrats! Una and Ben got married this weeekend
The Saturdays signer Una Healy married her rugby player boyfriend Ben Foden in County Tipperary this weekend.
Covered with a guard of umbrellas to shield her from a summer rain shower, Una was ushered into the village church of her hometown, Thurles to exchange vows with her groom. A glimpse of her snow-white catherdral length train could just be seen as well as the glittering floral beading on her floaty gown.
She was followed into the church by her bridesmaids, including her Saturdays band mates Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White. The girls wore pale lilac chiffon dresses and carried posies of white and purple flowers with cream white rose buds tucked into their hair.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Kilshane house, a stunning Regency mansion set in acres of private parkland, to celebrate in style. Guests enjoyed a sit down dinner and the groom is said to have delighted everyone by rapping his speech!
But the musical interlude didn’t end there. As Irish band The Mindbenders took to the stage at the evening reception, Una is reported to have joined them on stage and serenaded Ben and her guests with a rendition of Sweet Home Alabama. And not wanting to be outdone by his bride, Ben is said to sung the Kings of Leon’s hit Sex On Fire accompanied by Una’s girl band bridesmaids.
Pictures posted by The Mindbenders on Twitter show Una, who looked stunning in a second slim white dress with ruffled front, cuddling up to her new husband in his silk waistcoat and cravat and The Saturday girls dancing and cheering as the crowd gathered in front of the stage.
The couple, who started dating in 2008, have a four-month-old baby daughter Aoife.
Una’s bandmate Rochelle Wiseman is expected to marry her JLS fiancé Marvin Humes later this year.
