Any Game of Thrones fan worth their salt knows there’s nothing as terrifying as being chased by White Walkers.
But brave newlyweds Mairead and Jonny Hill took their chances, all for the sake of the ultimate wedding photo.
The couple, who got married at the weekend in Northern Ireland, chose to take a few memorable pictures with their bridesmaids and ushers in Tollymore Forest.
Little did they know it was where the forest scenes of the HBO series are filmed.
THIS COUPLE DID A NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT WITH THEIR PUPPY
Naturally, as soon as they found out, it was too good an opportunity to miss.
They asked the wedding party to pretend they were running for their lives, glass of champagne in hand and everything – it would be rude to waste a good beverage, after all.
Then it was up to their photographer Andrew McKenna to work his magic in Photoshop to add some scary White Walkers in.
Mairead told the Belfast Telegraph: “It was hilarious, just fun. Andrew put us all at ease, there was a couple of takes because everybody couldn’t stop laughing to begin with to get the scary faces.”
THE FUNNIEST PROPOSAL PHOTOBOMBS
“Everybody has been going absolutely mental for it. There have been people liking the photo that we don’t even know who are commenting on the photos. It’s not even just the Game of Thrones picture, it’s the wide spectrum of the photos that Andrew did for us.”
As you’d expect, the picture went viral, with some users going as far as saying it topped the Red Wedding. Praise indeed.
