How many guests can attend a wedding?
Couples with up to 50 guests can choose to hold their ceremony and reception in the intimate setting of Lord Bath’s Banqueting Suite or the opulent Green Library. The grander surroundings of the 16th century Great Hall or the ornate Orangery accommodate 100 people. Alternatively, if you’re planning a larger do, a marquee reception within the idyllic grounds has no limit on guest numbers.
Do they hold a wedding license?
Yes, it’s licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies.
Is accommodation available?
Guests can take advantage of special rates at Longleat’s two nearby luxury country hotels. Homewood Park Hotel & Spa, on the A36 towards Bath, has 21 bedrooms and Bishopstrow House & Spa, just 15 minutes from Longleat, has 33. Both have a bridal suite and alternative accommodation can be provided if more rooms are needed.
Where are the best places to take photos?
From the imposing façade to the romantic Love Labyrinth rose garden – the grandeur of the interior and splendour of the lakes and formal gardens provide ample opportunity for posing as a new couple.
