No I’m not pregnant. It’s fair enough that you asked, but now you know we’re doing it because we actually just want to, we hope that will be the last of that question.
We know you think it won’t last. But we hope you know and love us enough to recognise how happy we are and celebrate our wedding with us.
We’re not rushing into things. We’ve thought this through and we wouldn’t be saying ‘I do’ if we weren’t completely sure. Especially as you keep reminding us that one in three marriages ends in divorce. Thanks again for that.
We know this means we will never be with anyone else for the rest of our lives. Ever. It’s a scary thought for all our single friends, we know. But it turns out you really can explore new things and excitement with one person forever. In fact, it’s pretty great.
We are not planning to become the old, boring ones. We’ll probably have as many dinner parties as we did before and a night on the town drinking three shots in a row is not something we plan to give up just because we are now Mr and Mrs.
This doesn’t mean we want six children and we’re going to start a family now and quickly. Getting married doesn’t have anything to do with our ages and it’s not that we feel we’re running out of time to start a big family.
We’re actually just in love. Nothing suspicious to see here – we’re two people who decided to ‘put a ring on it’ and we plan to be together for the rest of our lives.
