December couples have the ideal starting point when it comes to their styling: Christmas! You can really go to town with beautiful sparkly details, fairy lights and all things festive with the guarantee that it’ll all look magical. The difficulty is making sure it still looks chic. This gorgeous wedding shoot, styled by Charlotte Ricard-Quesada of La Fête is a masterclass in how to embrace the season without making your wedding look like a Santa’s grotto. We particularly love the gingerbread house wedding cake, mitten name place cards and pared-back colour palette mixed with warming metallic details.
The key to making a look like this work, is by using your favourite festive motifs in a wedding-worthy way. For example Charlotte embraced snowflakes with stunning snowflake-shaped place mats and on the chair backs. Faux fur was introduced on the chair backs too, as well as in the bride’s outfit and the flowers had a seasonal feel with the addition of berries, thistles and feathers, and of course, a stunning wreath.
