Nestled in the centre of Penzance, Chapel House is a home from home, boasting sensational views of the Cornish coast, including the magnificent St Michael’s Mount and the UK’s most southerly point, The Lizard Peninsula.

The historic boutique hotel is the perfect base for exploring the charming town, and equally easy for zipping in the car to Land’s End for breathtaking beaches and fabulous walks to Sennen Cove and beyond.

Each of the six bedrooms in the property has been individually designed, with each one more luxurious than the next. The rooms are awash with glorious natural light, and decorated in a contemporary style.

Our favourite feature was the glass ceiling in the bathroom that drew all the way back, allowing us to bathe under the stars in complete privacy – just what you want as a newlywed…

Other bedrooms boasted gigantic bathtubs perfect for sipping champagne in, as well as lavish wet rooms.

Chapel House’s very talented owner Susan cooks dinner for guests in her glorious kitchen; we were offered a menu of delicious meals to choose from, before Susan headed out to the market to buy the ingredients. We opted fresh bream with mouth- watering saffron potatoes, accompanied by a perfectly mixed gin and tonic.

The fabulous food continued on into breakfast, with millennial favourite smashed avocado on the menu, alongside a traditional full english breakfast and anything else you could wish for.

Staying in Chapel House is the perfect post-wedding getaway; a sanctuary to relax after the stresses of your big day, while luxuriating in the hotel’s comfortable and stylish surroundings.
