Deciding what to write in your wedding stationery is hard enough, but there’s plenty to think about when it comes to actually sending your wedding invites too.
From how many to send per family, to choosing your RSVP date, here are the essentials you need to know.
1. It’s one invite per couple or household, not per person; we’ve heard plenty of stories about brides accidentally doubling their stationery bill by forgetting this.
2. Find out from your caterer exactly when they’ll need final numbers and set your RSVP date at least a week before this, to give you time for chasing.
3. Keep it stylish and avoid abbreviations on the invite and in the addresses – so, for example, write out ‘street’ instead of ‘St’.

5. Include a return address on the envelopes, so you’ll hopefully know if any don’t make it. Having an address stamp made will save you writing out your details 50 times.
