When Christina’s nine-month-old daughter started crying during a wedding ceremony on 18 June, there was only one thing for it, she would need to be fed. One slight issue though, she couldn’t just nip outside the church… because she was the bride!
No matter, the proud mum simply picked Gemma up and started breastfeeding her – one benefit of wearing a strapless dress you never thought of – while the priest carried on with the ceremony at the Resurrection of Our Lord Church in Lachine, Quebec.
Christina told The Huffington Post, “I made it work… I had to! Danny has always been so incredibly supportive on this breastfeeding journey, so he just nodded in agreement.
BRIDE ASKS BRIDESMAIDS TO PITCH IN FOR £7K WEDDING DRESS
“The people at my wedding were not surprised with me feeding Gemma mid-ceremony because I’m always feeding her at some point or another in front of them.”
The moment was captured by wedding photographer Lana Nimmons, and the bride later shared it on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page.
It has since been liked 8k times, with many praising her for tackling the stigma around breastfeeding in such a beautiful manner.
