When Kerry transferred to her company’s London office, she had no idea her life would change forever on her first day there.
She had worked with Deepan over email and phone for a couple of years, and he came over to introduce himself in person. “I looked up and saw the most handsome man I had ever met,” she says. “We laughed and chatted for the rest of the day, and I knew he was just the person I’d been waiting to meet.”
Fast-forward five years, and following a romantic proposal on a French beach, the couple began putting together an elegant celebration at Holkham Hall.
Kerry took the lead when it came to the handmade touches, crafting the stationery, and writing the chalkboard signs and table names.
Meanwhile, Deepan worked with florist Bramble & Berry on the reception blooms.
“He decided that with the high ceilings in our venue, it would be good to have some tall candelabras to add height to the tables, but to keep some of the tables with low arrangements to add interest,” recalls Kerry.
The pair also considered the big-picture elements. They worked closely with their caterer to create a bespoke menu, and a DJ playing club classics got everyone dancing. “Seeing our friends and family having an amazing time was the best feeling ever!”
Kerry looked gorgeous in a capped-sleeve wedding dress by Maggie Sottero, while her bridesmaids wore duck egg blue bridesmaid dresses courtesy of Ghost.
Deepan opted for a blue wedding suit from Suit Supply.
Photographer Kathryn Hopkins documented the day, with Kerry commenting: “We absolutely adore our wedding photos and couldn’t be happier with them. I regularly find myself looking through them reliving every moment with a huge smile on my face feeling every emotion I felt on the day.”
