Real wedding: A timeless wedding in the Cotswolds at Barnsley House

Sarah and Scott got married in the Cotswords, choosing a blush pink grey and gold colour scheme for their elegant wedding

A true-to-us tone was in order for Sarah and Scott’s early summer wedding in the Cotswolds. “We’re not the kind of couple who enjoy being the centre of attention,” says the groom. “So our understated, classic theme reflected that.”

The pair discovered Barnsley House during a weekend break at its adjoining property, the Village Pub, and instantly fell for its charms. “It’s so luxurious,” says Sarah. “We loved the gardens and its friendly staff.”

Sarah and Scott chose a colour palette of blush pink, grey and gold to keep
the look classically elegant, and to complement the venue.

Their décor was a luxurious combination of beautiful floral arrangements courtesy of Flowers by Passion, and tall candles, but they also included some DIY elements, from the invites, to the welcome signs to the impressive table plan.

Photographers Nicola and Glen were hired to document the beautiful day, capturing all the the romantic moments.
