Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair

Get inspired by the vintage-inspired exhibition and create your unique day!

All The Fun At The Fair…

11611

We’ve long adored Luella’s Boudoir, the vintage-inspired bridal boutique located in the heart of Wimbledon Village. Renowned for its gorgeously girlie gowns, shoes and accessories – including some handpicked original vintage pieces – as well as a styling and wedding planning service – it’s a one-stop shop for brides-to-be who want to feel like a princess. So we were thrilled to pop along to One Marylebone for its two-day Wedding Fair last week – in collaboration with Cosmo Bride – for a look…

The Dress…

11612

First stop was the fashion. Brides-to-be will be spoilt for choice with the latest designer collections Luella’s Boudoir has to offer. Charlotte Casadejus’s gowns are as elegant and romantic as ever, encompassing embroidered organdies and new petal-effect, full-length textured skirts to bring W-day wow, while Caroline Atelier’s signature backless dresses are stylishly adorned with appliqué roses or a scattering of crystals, adding an extra flourish.

The Dress…

Jacqueline Byrne’s gowns keep their timeless feel with feminine detailing and flattering silhouettes, while Lisa Redman’s collection is perfect for a more fashion-forward bride. Australian designer Johanna Johnson is new to the store – and indeed the UK – and her dresses, made from the heaviest silks, finest French laces and Swarovski crystals, are sure to bring a new level of luxury to the aisle.

Bridesmaid Beauties

If you’re looking for beautiful, up-to-date bridesmaid dresses, Buttonbelle’s lightweight chiffon and heavier twill styles fit the brief perfectly. Available in an ice-cream-sundae palette of peach, caramel, raspberry, lavender and pistachio, they look great accessorised with a diamante brooch or ribbon waist-sash, while Luella’s Bridesmaid Collection, made from 100% silk dupion and chiffon with a choice of hundreds of different colours, is ideal for more traditional styles.

Finishing Touches

Accessories are the unsung hero of any bridal outfit – getting the perfect shoe, necklace or tiara can really make it shine. Emmy’s vintage-inspired shoes, hair accessories and purses will be fabulous for a bit of showgirl drama, while Freya Rose’s shoe collection – with a brooch embellished peep-toe here and a pretty corsage there – is lovely. Victoria Fergusson’s bespoke jewellery and belt collection also stand out as the perfect way to add a bit of sparkle.

And let’s not forget the lingerie… Whether you’re after first-night satin sets, silky honeymoon loungewear or a delicate vintage-lace garter, Love By Susie’s handmade collection will make you go wow-ow-ow!

Let Them Eat Cake

11617

Our tastebuds were tingling with the different cake options at the fair. Crumbs! Couture Cupcakes offer utterly delectable cupcakes, pop cakes and eclectic glass jars filled with retro, super-sour and rainbow coloured sweets, while the Little Venice Cake Company has gorgeous, bespoke designs. The Utterly Sexy Café is another noteworthy treat, providing wedding cakes and floral table centres as well as a vintage china hire service and venue styling.

Letters Of Love

11618

Let the magic of your day start as soon as you set a date by wowing your guests with your wedding invitations. Dear So and So and Beyond Beyond do beautiful bespoke, handmade stationery, while Cutture’s laser cut designs are a real talking point!

Foodie Treats

11619

If you fancy a quirky touch for your Big day, why not treat your guests to a retro-inspired snow cone tricycle or a candyfloss dispenser, or even have their faces printed in chocolate?! With heaps of different functions, Ideas Box! provide kitsch foodie extras to ensure your reception goes down in bridal history.

Beautiful Blooms

11620

And finally, the flowers… Hayford and Rhodes decorated the whole venue with exquisite blooms, filling vases and lacing vintage birdcages with beautiful, fragrant flowers, which pulled together the decadent mood of the whole evening.

One Marylebone is also available to hire for wedding and receptions – they are licensed to host the ceremony in both the East Gallery and the Soane Hall – as well as parties, events and more, so if you’re looking for a glamorous and unique Grade I-listed central London location, then look no further!
