Trying to pick your wedding dress is one of the biggest missions for any bride-to-be, with the main aim being to find a frock that not only looks fabulous and complements your figure but also allows you to look like you. Which is why having the seal of approval from other real brides is so important – you want to know it looks good on a real woman, not just celebs or models!
That’s why wedding dress designers spend all year working on dress styles that brides will fall in love with. And it paid off for Amanda Wyatt, whose Felicia dress was voted Wedding Dress of the Year by real brides at the Bridal Buyer Awards in Harrogate.
After fighting it out against other gorgeous frocks, Amanda’s Felicia, a lace gown with small capped sleeves and flower embellishment at the waist, took the prize. Speaking of the win, Amanda says: “Felicia is a truly beautiful gown and it’s a pleasure to know that the brides love her just as much as I do. The idea behind the design for Felicia was to create a stunning, fitted gown with shoulder, sleeve and filled-in back detail which was glamorous and would make brides feel wonderful. The fine cobweb tulle is light and moulds to the body and, teamed with the lovely lace guipure detail, creates a very vintage look (which is so on trend, a reason why I think Felicia captured the hearts of so many brides).”
Do you love the Felicia and think it deserved top gong?
