Hair how-to no.1: The curly side knot
Before you start: Preparing the hair is vital in achieving this look. Start by applying mousse to the mid-lengths and ends with some thickening styling lotion just to the roots of damp hair.

Step 1: The curly side knot
Then blow-dry just around the hair-line. Diffuse the rest of the length to maximize any natural curl, before tonging all of the hair in small sections, starting at the hair-line. Secure into pin curls with grips as you go.
Step 2: The curly side knot
When your hair is completely cool, separate the curls using your fingers or a wide toothed comb.
Step 3: The curly side knot
Section off a fringe section from ear to ear, then brush the rest of the hair into a low side pony tail.
Step 4 The curly side knot
Start creating a shape with the curls, in and around the ponytail forming a naturally curly asymmetric bun.
Step 5: The curly side knot
Brush your fringe into soft waves then finish with a mist of shine spray for a perfect finish.
The finished look: The curly side knot
Viola. A chic – and fairly simple to achieve – asymmetric curly side bun, finished off with a diamanté barrette.
